About
The first ever project that I was paid to do, so pure nostalgia. A pharmacy mobile app designed and built in Flutter, aimed at serving over 30,000 customers monthly. One of my first end-to-end projects, and the one that set the direction for everything that followed. The project started as a design contract, but the client brought me further into the project and I ended up taking on the front end development as well. I designed the UI based on Material Design principles and then built it out in Flutter, which at the time was one of my first real experiences implementing a full interface in the framework.
Looking back, the UI reflects where I was at the time, but that's exactly what makes this project worth including. It's where I first understood how design systems actually work in practice, how Material Design is structured under the hood, and what it takes to translate a design into production code. It also pointed me toward the two areas I've ended up doing most of my work in since, health and education.
